{"id":17232,"date":"2020-10-22T14:45:33","date_gmt":"2020-10-22T12:45:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/?p=17232"},"modified":"2024-05-07T15:06:01","modified_gmt":"2024-05-07T13:06:01","slug":"mrr-webhooks-beta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/mrr-webhooks-beta\/","title":{"rendered":"New (Beta) Feature: MRR Webhooks!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/mrr-webhooks.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of our aims at ChartMogul is to make it incredibly easy for our users to get their data into and out of their accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the metrics and reports that are generated in ChartMogul can easily be viewed through our user interface, there are several important use cases for wanting to programmatically send up-to-date metrics out of ChartMogul and into other systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, you may need to send your customers\u2019 current MRR values to the account records in your CRM, or you might want to trigger some action to happen, e.g. an email to be sent out, when a customer\u2019s MRR changes. Or you may need to create an event record in your data warehouse each time a customer\u2019s MRR changes \u2013&nbsp;so you can use the MRR movements generated by ChartMogul as part of a data science project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(The above examples are just some of the possible use cases \u2013 what we\u2019re most excited about is seeing what uses for MRR webhooks our customers come up with that we haven\u2019t thought of.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously you would\u2019ve needed to write a script that periodically queries the ChartMogul Metrics API to get at this data programmatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, with the MRR webhooks feature an HTTP POST request is sent each time one of your customer\u2019s MRR changes.
