Since <a href=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/new-feature-segmentation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launching Segmentation<\/a>, we&#8217;ve released a few updates to make the analytics even more powerful and easy to use.<\/p>\n<p>With Segmentation, ChartMogul customers can create\u00a0views of their data\u00a0such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monthly Recurring Revenue\u00a0broken down\u00a0by marketing channel<\/li>\n<li>Lifetime Value\u00a0broken down\u00a0by NPS score<\/li>\n<li>Churn Rate broken down by sales rep<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/new-feature-relative-time-in-segmentation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">relative time<\/a>\u00a0feature allows ChartMogul customers to refine segments to a specific time period, past or future. They can focus their analysis using definitions such as &#8220;Customers who upgraded\u00a0in the past week&#8221; or &#8220;All annual customers up for renewal in the next 14\u00a0days.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, customers can take these segments they&#8217;ve created and use them in more dynamic, insightful ways \u2014 through on-the-spot comparison and effective visualization.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re sitting down for a deep-dive analysis or just reviewing data at a glance, ChartMogul Segmentation now yields more value more quickly.<\/p>\n<h2>NEW: Compare and edit segments with just one click<\/h2>\n<p>When you sit down to review and analyze data, you usually have a certain question in mind. Often the initial question you sought to answer morphs into something else \u2014 it goes in another direction,\u00a0or splinters into a set of more specific questions.\u00a0And of course, follow-up questions come to mind. Wouldn&#8217;t it be nice to follow these whims easily, to compare them all together?<\/p>\n<p>For example, want to see how the MRR of customers on a specific plan in a specific region\u00a0compare to your overall customer base? What about how they compare to customers on a different plan?<\/p>\n<p>Now you can.\u00a0Live editing and comparison allows you to analyze data segments no matter how broad or acute they are.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5760\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5760\" style=\"width: 850px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/compare-one-click.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5760 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/compare-one-click.gif\" alt=\"compare-one-click\" width=\"850\" height=\"468\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5760\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Adding a saved segment and creating a new segment, in just a few clicks.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You can select saved segments, or you can <strong>create a brand new one on the spot<\/strong>.\u00a0A key improvement here is that you&#8217;re no longer required\u00a0to\u00a0<em>save<\/em> a segment before viewing it.<\/p>\n<p>You can also <strong>edit the segments live<\/strong>, drilling down by plan or any other filter that suits your investigation. The graph will reflect your changes immediately. This is all about providing more responsive and flexible analytics.<\/p>\n<h3>NEW for ESSENTIAL plan: Compare regions and plans on the same graph<\/h3>\n<p>Customers on the ChartMogul ESSENTIAL\u00a0plan can now compare any combination of segments\u00a0on the same graph. We&#8217;re excited to extend this functionality to all users.<\/p>\n<h2>BONUS: Colors!<\/h2>\n<p>The above updates required that we make comparing multiple segments on the same graph as easy to comprehend as possible. The answer: <strong>colors!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Label each saved segment with a specific color.
