{"id":6665,"date":"2017-02-09T18:53:26","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T17:53:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/?p=6665"},"modified":"2023-08-10T12:57:44","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T10:57:44","slug":"new-visualizations-bar-charts-stacked-charts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/new-visualizations-bar-charts-stacked-charts\/","title":{"rendered":"New visualizations \u2013 bar charts, stacked charts &#038; more!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since reading Tomasz Tunguz&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/tomtunguz.com\/negative-churn\/\">article about negative churn<\/a> I fell in love with the layer cake cohort charts &#8211; it&#8217;s the clearest way I&#8217;ve seen to visualise\u00a0the impact of churn and account expansion over time.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been waiting for the right time to build this capability into ChartMogul, and today I&#8217;m excited to announce that\u00a0it&#8217;s available.<\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s new?<\/h2>\n<h3>Bar charts!<\/h3>\n<p>Any chart can now be switched between a line or a bar chart.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6927\" src=\"https:\/\/chartmogul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/bar2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1098\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also change any of the charts on your Overview dashboard to bar charts, just go into &#8220;Edit mode&#8221; on the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.chartmogul.com\/\">Overview screen<\/a> (Admin only) &gt; click &#8220;Edit&#8221; on a chart and you will see the option to choose the chart type.<\/p>\n<h3>Stacked charts!<\/h3>\n<p>When you&#8217;re comparing more than one segment you can toggle &#8216;stacked&#8217; mode.
