Built by SaaSync, at no cost to you

SaaSync is a ChartMogul partner that connects billing systems to ChartMogul. For Zuora, you create a SaaSync account and connect Zuora there, and SaaSync sends your data to ChartMogul. SaaSync includes the integration at no cost when you subscribe to ChartMogul, and on ChartMogul's free plan. More about SaaSync.

How it works

Connecting. SaaSync reads Zuora through its API, with the username and password of a Zuora API user. You may need a tenant administrator to create that user. SaaSync then connects to ChartMogul with a ChartMogul API key that has read and write access.

What gets imported. Accounts, product rate plan charges, invoices, credit memos, and payments.

Once the data is in ChartMogul, you get MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, and every customer's MRR movements.

Before you connect

  • Zuora's API doesn't report deletions, so invoices and credit memos you delete in Zuora stay in ChartMogul unless you set up Zuora callout notifications to SaaSync.

SaaSync's Zuora limitations article covers the rest.

Setting it up

  1. Create a SaaSync account.
  2. Connect Zuora as a source in SaaSync with your API user's credentials.
  3. In ChartMogul, create an API key with read and write access.
  4. In SaaSync, add ChartMogul as the destination with that key.

SaaSync's Zuora guide covers each step.

Zuora integration questions

Does the Zuora integration cost extra?

SaaSync includes it at no cost when you subscribe to ChartMogul, and on ChartMogul's free plan. Custom sync logic costs $100 a month, paid directly to SaaSync.

Why is my MRR in ChartMogul different from Zuora?

Zuora calculates MRR from subscriptions, while ChartMogul calculates it from invoices. Scheduled changes, such as a coupon that starts next month, show up in ChartMogul once they're invoiced.
